Nový Rychnov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nový Rychnov lies in a valley surrounded by the hills of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, with numerous forests, meadows and ponds. There are good opportunities for hiking and cycling around the town. At the inflow of the former millworks towards Rohozná stands a protected oak tree more than 150 years old.

Nature

In the Pelhřimov District, the Ivaniny rybníčky nature monument is located in the territory of the market town of Nový Rychnov, in the cadastral area of Sázava pod Křemešníkem, and in the municipality of Proseč pod Křemešníkem, in the cadastral area of Proseč pod Křemešníkem. Pond biotopes with specially protected species are protected there.

Culture and History

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Nový Rychnov was built in the Gothic style between 1343 and 1363; the presbytery of the original building has been preserved. The surviving remains of the V Šancích field fortifications include ditches and ramparts.

The château in Nový Rychnov was converted by the Leskovec family into a rural aristocratic residence in the Renaissance style. The museum is located in the lower part of the former savings bank building with house number 160, which used to be a drugstore.

Events

Novorychnovské stezky is a traditional event in Nový Rychnov. At Novorychnovské stezky 2026, the start and finish are at the municipal restaurant by the town hall in Nový Rychnov.

Z Nadhledu is an annual event in Nový Rychnov that took place on 3 January 2026. At Z Nadhledu, a marked route leads to a stop at a fire.
