Komorovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Komorovice appears in a papal document dated 8 May 1226 under the name “Comorovici”. In addition to this early historical reference, the village offers concrete opportunities for sport, exercise and play.

History

Throughout the entire feudal period, Komorovice belonged to the Premonstratensian monastery in Želiv. One exception was the rule of the Trčkové z Lípy in 1422. In the 1360s, the Premonstratensians of Želiv sold the manor farm in Komorovice, together with all its lands and the inn.

Sport and Play

Use of the tennis court in Komorovice is free of charge for locals and guests. The public sports field is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Opening hours of 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. are given for the children's playground; the spring riders there are intended for children aged 3 to 8.

The Obstaculus course is intended for swinging from bars, climbing, hanging, swinging, pulling and moving along the lower slope.

Location and Routes

Komorovice is located near D1 exit 90 and on the R/34 road between Pelhřimov and Humpolec.

The Pípalka na Křemešníku route follows a blue-marked hiking trail to the road from Bystrá to Komorovice. It then continues for 2.5 km, mostly downhill, in the direction of Mladé Bříště.

Surroundings

Orlík is a ruin in the immediate vicinity of Komorovice. Špičák, a mountain, is also located nearby.

The surroundings of Komorovice include Želivský Kláštor Monastery, the mountains Putimovský vrch, Melechov and Březina, as well as the Church of Svatá Anna. The Janštejn ruin is located farther away in the surrounding region.
