Příštpo: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Příštpo is the starting point of the Rokytná Nature Park: this is where a 27 km² wooded protected valley begins along the Rokytná, characterised by rocks and floodplain meadows. A designated route through the park passes through Příštpo.

Nature

The Yellow Water-Lily can be found in a meander of the Rokytná above Příštpo. Numerous endangered plant and animal species live along the river near Příštpo. Among other species, the endangered snowdrop Galanthus nivalis grows in the Jedlový les a údolí Rokytné area. With a little luck, crayfish and kingfishers can also be spotted in the river area near Příštpo.

Trails

A 15.5 km route through the Rokytná Nature Park runs from Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou via Královec, Příštpo and Pulkovský Mlýn to Biskupice; Příštpo is indicated at kilometre 5. A yellow-marked hiking trail also runs through the nature park; it can also be used by mountain bike and passes through Příštpo.

For cycling, the 32 km circular bike tour “Z Jaroměřic do údolí Rokytné” is also an option. It runs via Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou, Příštpo, Rozkoš, Biskupice-Pulkov, Radkovice and Myslibořice before returning to Jaroměřice nad Rokytnou. The 10 km cycle route 5263 runs from Jevišovice via Bukovina and Kyničky; Příštpo is indicated as a variant. The route passes through heavily wooded areas to the Rokytná valley, while cycle route 5263 runs through the built-up area of Příštpo.

History and townscape

Příštpo is documented in sources from 1190 under the name Preschep. The village also has a monument to those who fell in 1945. In 1821, the farm in Příštpo is described as the seat of the originators of an uprising against compulsory labour in part of the Znojmo estate.

South of the built-up area of Příštpo lies the approximately 10 m high Justýnka rock, which is associated with a legend from the time of the Thirty Years’ War. Bednářův mlýn also stands south of the built-up area. Another sight in Příštpo is a chapel.
