Střítež: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the village square of Střítež, the park is home to the Chapel of the Virgin Mary with a cross; a stone cross stands in front of it. The late Baroque chapel in Střítež u Jihlavy was recognized as a cultural monument in the Vysočina Region in the second quarter of 2025. Its interior features a ribbed vault and wall paintings.

Culture

The Church of St. Florian in Střítež u Jihlavy is a cultural monument. It was built in 1848 on the site of a church that burned down in 1808. The complex includes a cemetery with an enclosure wall and a mortuary established at the end of the 19th century.

Nature

At the western edge of Střítež lies the old Jewish cemetery on the southern side of Pivovarský rybník. White storks nest on the shore of this pond every year.

Hiking and Cycling

The municipality of Střítež participates in the “Stříbrné pomezí” project, a tourism system created by the statutory city of Jihlava together with 26 partner municipalities in its surrounding area, with a total length of 270 km. The routes take hikers and cyclists to the region’s monuments and attractions. “Stříbrné pomezí” offers cycling, hiking and combined routes for both groups of users. At the junctions, information signs provide details about the respective stops in Czech, German and English.
