Hnevkovice: Holiday apartments and houses

Hněvkovice was elevated to the status of a market village by King Přemysl Otakar II in 1262. The history of the village is also reflected in the complex of St. Bartholomew’s Church, which includes a bell tower, the site of a former cemetery, the ruins of what was probably a former mortuary, and a stone enclosure wall with a gate.

Nature

The municipality of Hněvkovice is predominantly characterized by fields and forests. The Sázava River flows through the municipality, and part of the Švihov Reservoir is also located there. The Natura 2000 site Želivka (CZ0214016) extends into the municipality at its edge. The registered significant landscape feature Čertovy díry is also located in the Hněvkovice area.

Experiences

The Želivka vineyards in Hněvkovice were established in April 2014. By arrangement, they offer vineyard tours and wine tastings. The southern slope of the Želivka vineyards offers panoramic views of the Želivka River and the surrounding Vysočina landscape.

The 13th edition of the Pochod Prokletým údolím hiking event was announced for September 5, 2026, in Hněvkovice. Four hiking routes were planned: Hněvkovská, 10 km; Želivská, 14 km; Sázavská, 14 km; and Želivsko-sázavská, 23 km. The starting point was planned to be the municipal office in Hněvkovice.
