Culture and History

The early Gothic Ronovec Castle is now a castle ruin stretching between Dolní Krupá, Břevnice and Kojetín. The castle ruin dates back to the 13th century. In 1544, the castle was abandoned when its then-resident moved permanently to a fortified manor in Dolní Krupá.

Nature

The Ronovecký Forest is located in the cadastral area of the municipality of Kojetín. Plot no. 687/1 in the cadastral area of Kojetín u Havlíčkova Brodu is designated as part of the regional biocentre RBC 724 “Ronovecký les”.

The natural spring Prdlavka is located in the municipality of Kojetín. In 2007, it was voted Spring of the Year in the region.

Trails and Excursions

A marked hiking trail leading from Havlíčkův Brod to Chotěboř passes through the Ronovecký Forest. The Ronovecký Forest is a popular place for walks and excursions.

The Prdlavka spring is located along a yellow tourist trail marking, a few hundred metres from the Ve Žlabě signpost, on the way to Ronovec Castle. It can be reached via a footpath.
