History and Village Character

The Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord is a historical monument in Kožlí. Two monuments in Kožlí commemorate the victims of both world wars. The monument in Kožlí village square contains an urn with the ashes of resistance fighters from Kobylí důl. The first written mention of Kožlí dates from 1370; at that time, a Vladyka from Kozel is mentioned.

The Čertovy díry natural attraction lies southwest of Kožlí. The Čertovy díry caves are located about 1 km southwest of Kožlí, on the right bank of the Švihov Reservoir in the Doupné skály area. A rare three-thorned acacia grows near Kožlí on a slope above the road.

Pstruhový ráj Kožlí offers trout fishing for both anglers and non-anglers. Trout can be caught there year-round and without a fishing licence. The Pstruhový ráj Kožlí pond has a fishing jetty. The Pstruhový ráj Kožlí fishing pond is located on the main road from Ledeč nad Sázavou towards Humpolec and the Koberovice interchange on the D1 (EXIT 81).
