Borek: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The local former Lom Borek quarry, now flooded, is the most popular tourist destination in the area around Borek and is used for scuba diving.

Culture and Townscape

A chapel stands on the village green in Borek; it was built in 1913 using funds from a public collection. The old stone limestone cross in Borek bears a short inscription in Gothic script. Lime trees that are centuries old define the village green in Borek.

Borek is surrounded by forests and agricultural land. The Iron Mountains (Železné hory) stretch northeast of Borek.

Getting Around

The Štoky–Třemošnice cycle path passes through Borek, with a route running from Třemošnice to Štoky. The route is 58.5 kilometres long and runs mainly along existing Class I and II roads. A cycle path connects Borek with the Ostružno district. The “Cesta poznání” educational trail also passes through Borek.
