Rušinov is located in the Železné hory Protected Landscape Area. The protected landscape area encompasses forested mountain ridges, river valleys, wet meadows, sun-exposed slopes, old orchards and mature trees.

Nature

The Bučina and Krkanka mountains are located near Rušinov. The surrounding area also includes the Na Vrších hill [Rušinov] and the Bučina hill [Rušinov-Vratkov].

Culture and History

In Modletín, St. Anne's Church was built towards the end of the 17th century in a simple, almost unadorned Baroque style. The single-nave building has a slightly rectangular nave and a semicircular presbytery. The present church originally stood on the site of a wooden chapel above a spring, where, according to tradition, Saint Anne is said to have appeared.

The former vicarage belongs to the chapel and is now the headquarters of Benediktus. In Rušinov, a monument also commemorates local inhabitants who fell in the First and Second World Wars.

Getting Around Locally

Regular bus services connect Rušinov with the surrounding municipalities. The nearest railway station is Chotěboř station, 12 km away. The village has a general store and a restaurant.

Cycling Route

The Rušinov–Chotěboř–Česká Bělá–Havlíčkův Brod–Šlapanov cycle route passes through Rušinov.
