Olešenka: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Houses

The founding of Olešenka was connected with the flourishing of mining in the region. Charcoal was produced in the forests of Olešenka for silver smelters.

History and Culture

Olešenka has a chapel with a bell tower and sculptures from the 18th century. In the wider regional surroundings of Olešenka lies the ruin of Orlík.

Landscape and Water

Four retention basins in the landscape of Olešenka slow water runoff and promote infiltration. In the cadastral area of Olešenka, the planned VN1 water retention facility is located along a natural valley channel on the Olešenský potok.

Several ponds divide Olešenka’s rectangular village square.

Mountains and Surroundings

The mountains of Rosička, Světka, Blažkov and Vysoká lie in the surroundings of Olešenka. The approximately 604-metre-high Strážky hill offers wide-ranging views.

The Smetanovy sady park is also located in the wider regional surroundings of Olešenka.

Paths

The planned HC3 field-path connection follows the route of a vanished historic path and connects Olešenka with Ronov nad Sázavou.
