Chrtníč: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Chrtníč has a history dating back to the beginning of the 14th century. The settlement emerged as part of the colonization activities of Vilémov Monastery; the first written mention in the land tables dates from 1391.

Landscape

The Radinovka stream, which flows through Chrtníč, divides the settlement into two parts and is a right-bank tributary of the Sázavka River. Forests cover 150 hectares of Chrtníč’s total area of 661 hectares.

Paths and Surroundings

The C2 field path is just under 1.0 km long. It begins in the built-up area of the municipality of Chrtníč and provides access to the surrounding agricultural land, the isolated settlement of Radinov, and the Church of Saint Bartholomew with the local cemetery.

Culture and the Past

Radinov, also called Radoňov, was originally a village with a fortress and a rectory. The Early Gothic Church of Saint Bartholomew in Radinov was dedicated to Saint Bartholomew around 1250. It has been preserved at the site of the former village of Radinov.

Community Life

Regular community events held in Chrtníč include balls. A Masopust procession also takes place regularly, and a maypole is regularly erected in Chrtníč. Sunday services in the filial Church of Saint Bartholomew are listed as taking place at 3:00 p.m. in winter and 4:00 p.m. in summer.
