Úsobí is home to the parish church of St Peter and St Paul, dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul.

Culture and history

Úsobí Castle is currently open to everyone interested in its history, its special rooms and its unusual chambers. At the glassworks in Úsobí, potash glass was initially cut, followed later by lead crystal.

The Baroque Chapel of the Guardian Angels is also part of the history of the town. It was built in 1715, abolished in 1783 as part of the Josephine reforms, and gradually fell into its present ruinous state.

Festivals and music

The Úsobská muzikantská pouť takes place every year on the weekend closest to the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul. The Úsobské hudební léto consists of three concerts held in the early evening on the three Sundays following the Úsobská muzikantská pouť.

Trails and landscape

Fishing is possible at Panský rybník, directly by Úsobí Castle; a permit can be arranged through the castle.

The entire route from Radňov to Větrný Jeníkov is 14 kilometres long; between the Chapel of St Anne and the viewpoint above Úsobí, there is a section of approximately four kilometres. The blue-marked hiking trail from Radňov to Úsobí essentially follows the course of the Úsobský potok.

The Chapel of St Anne between Úsobí and Chválkov comes to life every year in the middle of the summer holidays with the Svatoanenská pouť. In the immediate vicinity of Úsobí, near the Kukačka forester's lodge on the route between the Chapel of St Anne and Úsobí, grows a remarkable sycamore maple consisting of seven fused trunks.

The ruins of the Chapel of the Guardian Angels lie about one kilometre south of the centre of Úsobí. A paved path leads to them; vehicles can be parked at the beginning of this path by the cemetery. From the ruins, there is a view across the surrounding area; next to them stands a covered tourist rest area.
