Skryje: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The first written mention of Skryje dates back to 1464. The Renaissance château of Hostačov was built between 1557 and 1583.

Culture and history

Hostačov covers 12 hectares of parkland, woodland and water areas in the Czech Highlands. For future use, the owner plans to operate the château commercially as a hotel accommodation, restaurant, venue for weddings, corporate celebrations or other events.

Landscape

The mountains of Krkanka and Bučina are located around Skryje. The nearby area also includes the hill (Malá čtvrť) [Golčův Jeníkov-Sirákovice] and the hill Na Hradci [Vilémov-Spytice].

Paths and activities

The area around Hostačov château offers opportunities for walks and can be explored by rented bicycles. One hiking route led from Hostačov château along a local path to Hostačovský rybník and then along the Hostačovka stream to the outskirts of Kamenné Mosty. Skryje village pond can be used for ice skating in winter.
