Bojiště: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

The name Bojiště derives from a battle that took place there in 1420.

Nature

The Melechov Nature Park is located in the Bojiště area. Bojiště lies at the foot of Mount Melechov. The area is predominantly covered by forests, fields, and meadows; there are also several streams and ponds.

Culture

The Church of Saint Adalbert is an early Baroque building situated in the middle of an old cemetery. The earliest recorded mention of the Church of Saint Adalbert dates from 1560. A stone cross from 1842 stands in front of the Church of Saint Adalbert.

The altar in the Church of Saint Adalbert in Bojiště is a Baroque portal altar, probably created in the workshop of the sculptor and woodcarver Jakub Teplý around 1768. The bell of the chapel in Veliká was made at the Buřil and Riss bell foundry in Kukleny.
