A 607-metre-high hill above Modlíkov in the direction of Havlíčkova Borová offers wide views across the landscape; in favourable weather, the panorama of Lipnice Castle can also be seen. In the Middle Ages, the hill served as a lookout hill from which a trade route in the direction of Přibyslav and Ransko was monitored.
Nature and Trails
The red-marked Cesta K. H. Borovského hiking trail runs through Modlíkov for 1.49 km. The Cesta K. Borovského is a 30-km-long hiking trail maintained by KČT that runs between Hlinsko and Přibyslav. The mountains Světka, Rosička, Vysoká and Blažkov are also located in the vicinity of Modlíkov.
Culture
The Modlíkov war memorial is located in the village square next to the municipal office. Since 1994, the building in Modlíkov has been gradually repaired and modernised and serves as a cultural facility. On 17 June 2006, a covered wooden stage was opened in Modlíkov as part of the local sports and community complex. Concerts were held annually in Modlíkov.
A specific event is also part of the village's recent history: on 9 September 2017, the ninth edition of the Modlíkovská traktoriáda was held in Modlíkov.
