Boňkov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Boňkov combines historic traces with a landscape where a designated biocentre, an equestrian route, and named destinations in the surrounding area stand side by side. The former farmstead in Boňkov is now home to the distillery.

Landscape

Boňkovský rybník is designated as a local combined biocentre. The hill U kapličky [Boňkov] is also located in the immediate vicinity of Boňkov. The mountains Špičák, Vysoká, and Melechov are located in the surrounding area.

Equestrian Route

The Čejovský kopec–Úhořilka equestrian route passes through Boňkov. Neither a marked hiking trail nor a marked cycle path passes through Boňkov. The equestrian route includes a stop at the Wild Rover ranch riding station at Boňkovský rybník. Along the equestrian route, the Nohavický potok can be crossed via a bridge or through a ford.

History and Culture

Boňkov was originally called Bonkow and belonged to Herálec until 1843. A chapel dating from 1875 stands in Boňkov village square. On the hill approximately halfway between Boňkov and Skála stands a chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The ruins of Orlík are located in the immediate vicinity of Boňkov.
