Štěpkov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Chapel–Rotunda of Saint Wenceslas is designated as a significant architectural landmark in Štěpkov. The Rotunda of Saint Wenceslas is protected as a cultural monument; its registration number is 35731/7-3080.

Culture and History

The Rotunda of Štěpkov was built from rubble stone in the 12th century, later received a Baroque brick dome, and also served as a fortified refuge. The group of houses around the Rotunda of Saint Wenceslas is designated as a valuable urban ensemble.

The Štěpkov fortress is mentioned in written sources for the years 1582 to 1629; in 1589 it is described as abandoned. It stood on the site of today's ZD; a one-storey building in the ZD grounds is considered its successor structure. The site of the Štěpkov fortress is registered as an archaeological area in category ÚAN I.

Cycling Route and Settlement Structure

The marked cycling route 5104 Třebíč–Jemnice runs through the Štěpkov area. Road II/151 runs from west to east through the central part of Štěpkov and provides direct access to the adjacent buildings. Bus stops are located in the central part of Štěpkov.
