Řečice U Humpolce: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The landmark of Řečice is St. George's Church, a rare example of vernacular Gothic architecture from the early 14th century. It stands on a wooded hill in the middle of an old cemetery and offers views of the surrounding countryside, particularly Lipnice Castle. The church features an original wooden bell tower and 14th-century wall paintings. In front of the cemetery entrance there is also a stone Augustinian cross from the 18th century.

The historic surroundings of Řečice include the Doly, Na hrbech archaeological area. It lies in the cadastral area of Řečice u Humpolce, in the floodplain and on the slopes of the Bystrý stream south and southeast of the settlement of Bystrá. Doly, Na hrbech is an archaeologically significant wetland with traces of commercial production activity and an archaeological site with abandoned placer-mining works dating from the Middle Ages to the modern era.

The 37 km cycling tour “Po stopách gotiky” is classified as easy and runs mainly along roads as well as forest and field paths. Its tourist destination is St. George's Church in Řečice. The green-marked Cesta Gustava Mahlera hiking trail connects Řečice with Kaliště and Kejžlice. In addition, Cycle Route No. 1214 leads from Řečice towards Kejžlice.
