Skršín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Skršín lies on the western edge of the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area and has preserved its agricultural character to this day. These two features define the village.

Nature

A green-marked hiking trail leads through Skršín from Bedřich Světec via Dobrčice to Lužice.

History

The first written mention of Skršín dates back to 1100. The village square is home to the Holy Trinity ensemble. Chrámce Chateau was gradually remodelled into its present form between 1795 and 1805. It is not freely accessible for visits, but only by prior arrangement.

Culture

The stone cross in Dobrčice depicts the crucified Christ. A relief of the Virgin Mary holding Christ's body in her arms is located on the prismatic pedestal. Chrámce is historically known for its wine production. The organic orchards in Chrámce offer fruit, dried fruit, fruit must and their own distilled spirits.

Geographical location

The ruins of Hradek Oltářík, Hrádek and Sukoslav are located in the vicinity of Skršín. Dlouhá and Číčov are in the immediate vicinity of Skršín and are classified as mountains. Křižové vršky and Raná are also located in the surrounding area and are likewise classified as mountains. In the wider regional surroundings of Skršín lies Hazmburk, which is classified as a ruin.
