Rochov combines an archaeological site with elements of the village centre. The Rochov archaeological site encompasses the built-up area of the village of Rochov and its immediate surroundings. It is classified as UAN I, a category with the definite presence of archaeological finds confirmed.

History

Two farmsteads in Rochov were donated by Vladiken Troch of Brozany to the Prague Augustinian Monastery of St. Thomas in Malá Strana. In the first half of the 16th century, the Rochov fortress was described as dilapidated. The monastic farm is one of Rochov’s notable sights.

Culture

The Chapel of the Virgin Mary stands in the village square in the centre of Rochov. It is an Empire-style chapel from the first half of the 19th century and is structurally connected to a bell tower and a fire station. A broad bell tower rises above the chapel’s gable, with a clock beneath the upper cornice.

Cycling and surroundings

The regional cycle route CT 3124 (Úštěcká) has a section near Rochov. This section runs along a service road and a road and is passable.

Lovoš and Kibička are located in the surroundings of Rochov; a 50-hectare nature reserve was established there in 1948.
