Kresin: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Křesín lies in a bend of the Ohře River; the area extends into the Dolní Poohří Nature Park.

Landscape and Location

The Lovosice–Libochovice–Louny railway line runs through Křesín. The village is also located on a road connecting the former castellated castles in Žatec and Litoměřice.

History and Culture

The Church of St. Wenceslas in Křesín dates from the first half of the 14th century, has Gothic origins, and features preserved Romanesque elements. Together with the rectory, the church is already mentioned in written sources dating from 1362.

Above Levousy are the remains of a Slavic fortified settlement with indicated ramparts, as well as the remains of the 13th-century Šebín Castle or medieval fortress. The archaeologist and ethnographer Václav Krolmus lived in Křesín in the 1830s. The predecessor of the mill in Křesín is also documented as early as 1362.

Routes

The Ohře Cycle Path, one of the four main cycle routes in the Ústí nad Labem Region, runs through Křesín. The Okolo Lovoše cycle route follows the route Levousy–Křesín–Klapý. The Koštice–Křesín educational trail runs along the Ohře, through Želevice, and through the wetlands near Koštice.

On Site

With an arrangement made with the municipal office, you can camp on the banks of the Ohře or at the local sports ground. Křesín and the village district of Levousy have three restaurants, two grocery stores, and a bakery selling savoury and sweet pastries.
