Keblice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Keblice is located in the western part of the Terezín Basin. Humenský vrch rises above the village, reaching a height of 246 metres. Humenský vrch, located near Keblice, is a basalt elevation offering views of the Bohemian Central Uplands, Lovosice and Litoměřice.

Culture and History

St. Wenceslas Church stands on the village square in Keblice. It has a Neo-Gothic form and Rococo furnishings from the mid-18th century. There is also a monument near the church, dated 1926, commemorating the victims of the First World War.

A second church belonging to the Czechoslovak Church, dating from the 1920s, stands in Keblice. An equestrian statue of a Red Army soldier in the village dates from 1960.

The Windsor ruin, popularly known as Větrák, lies near Vrbičany. It was a Dutch-type windmill and met the needs of the surrounding municipalities of Siřejovice, Vrbičany and Keblice until 1870.

Rural Architectural Heritage

The rural estate at Keblice No. 7 comprises two late Baroque houses and a matching gate. Its layout corresponds to the Baroque strip-field arrangement of the village, while the buildings demonstrate the rural architecture of the village’s wealthiest social class. Branka I at house No. 7 is a late Baroque, semicircular pedestrian gate with a mascaron.

Another example is the estate at Keblice No. 57, a late Baroque rural farm complex with an enclosed courtyard and a masonry gate.

Things to Do

A cycle route leads from Bohušovice nad Ohří through Keblice to Siřejovice and then towards Rochov. The southern and southwestern parts of Keblice around Humenský vrch are suitable for short-term recreation through hiking.

The Keblice municipal website documents Masopust events in 2025 and 2026. For 2026, the municipality also announced the third Keblické gulášobraní.
