Nature

The section of the Elbe located in the cadastral area of Hrobce – a gently and calmly flowing body of water – is classified as ZW B. Šán Island is approximately 1 km long and about 60 m wide at its widest point.

Cycle Route A2 leads from the south along the Elbe to Hrobce and ends there. Hrobce lies on Cycle Route 2A of the Elbe Trail between Roudnice nad Labem and Terezín; the route passes through Židovice and Libotenice. The Elbe Cycle Route along the Elbe is one of four main cycle routes in the Ústecký Region.

Culture

The Klement villa in Hrobce No. 99/2 is designated as a building of architectural value in the municipal land-use plan. Hrobce also has a Baroque chapel with a small bell tower, built in 1744. After the floods of 2002, the chapel was reconstructed in 2004.

The so-called founding charter associated with Hrobce is attributed to the year 1115, but is considered a forgery from the late 12th century. In 1390, Hrobce is mentioned as part of the archiepiscopal estate of Roudnice nad Labem. Hrobce is first mentioned in the so-called founding charter of the Benedictine monastery in Kladruby.

Geographical Location

Hrobce railway station is located on Czech railway line 090, which connects Prague with Ústí nad Labem and continues to Germany. Hrobce lies on the main route between Roudnice nad Labem and Terezín towards Litoměřice and Lovosice.
