Voděrady: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the western edge of the municipality of Voděrady, the first rising wooded hills of the Českomoravská vrchovina begin, more precisely the Kunštátská vysočina with the 512-metre-high Chlum.

A project to revitalise the pond in Voděrady aimed to increase the biodiversity of the landscape and retain water in the landscape instead of allowing it to run off without further use.

Sport and Cycling Route

The sports complex in Voděrady is located on the edge of the village below the forest. In summer, there is a summer restaurant directly at the sports complex. Players can enter their details in advance in the booking schedule for the Voděrady tennis court or reserve a fixed playing time by arrangement with the groundskeeper.

Cycling route 5143 passes through the southern tip of the Voděrady area.

Traditions and Festivals

Kácení máje is a long-standing tradition in Voděrady that takes place every year. Kácení máje features competitions for children and opportunities to try out the fire brigade equipment.

During the traditional burning of the witches at the Pod Lesem complex, participants can roast Špekáčky over two fires. At the Children's Day documented on 29 May 2026 at the Pod Lesem complex, there were competitions, an obstacle course and hands-on activities.

Culture and Cemetery

Voděrady is home to the Baroque Church of the Holy Spirit, located in the cemetery. The Voděrady cemetery is also the final resting place of the poet František Halas.
