Makov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Makov is home to Křivánčí vrch, an excursion mountain offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. In clear weather, Praděd, the Drahanská vrchovina highlands and the Kojál transmitter can also be seen from there. Makov is considered a forest settlement in a valley between two rocky ridges.
Landscape
Part of Makov’s cadastral area lies within the Halasovo Kunštátsko Nature Park. The nature park was designated in 1980 and revised in 1994. Kuliška, a mountain, is located near Makov. The mountains Sýkoř, Babylon and Střela are also situated in the vicinity of Makov.
Culture
The Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Makov dates from 1857 and is designated as a cultural monument. The Makov Chapel bears the title “Roof of the Year 1997”.
The wider regional area around Makov is home to the Monument to the Victims of the First and Second World Wars, Veveří Castle, as well as the Chapel of the Virgin Mary and the Chapel of the Sacred Heart.
Things to Do
A cycling tour from Rozseč via Makov and Petrov back to Kunštát is described as an all-day route.
