Kulirov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Kulířov is situated in the gently rolling terrain of the Drahanská vrchovina, approximately 14 km northwest of Vyškov. The municipality lies on the boundary between the two bioregions of Moravský kras and Drahanská vrchovina.

Natural Area

The Kulířovský potok stream flows through the built-up area of Kulířov. Three smaller water reservoirs are located along it there. The cadastral area consists predominantly of arable land, with smaller areas of meadows and pastures; there is forest only in the southeast of the cadastral area. A linden tree protected as a natural monument also grows on the eastern edge of Kulířov.

In the direction of Kulířov, near Studnice at the site called Pod Fasůvkou, lies the Studnické louky nature reserve, with wet meadows and protected plants, including the broad-leaved orchid.

Cycling Route

Marked cycling route 5029 runs through Kulířov and continues from here in the direction of Studnice. A marked cycling route runs through Kulířov via Rozstání, Baldovec and Holštejn to the Sloupsko-šošůvské Caves.

A bus turning loop is located on the eastern edge of the built-up area of Kulířov.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint Anne stands on the village green in Kulířov. On 26 July, a festive mass is celebrated at the Chapel of Saint Anne in Kulířov as part of the Hody celebrations.

The oldest wayside shrines in Kulířov stand in the fields along the road from Kulířov towards Panský mlýn; they were erected in 1635. A statue of Saint John of Nepomuk has stood by the upper pond in Kulířov since 1880.

Events

The traditional firefighters' ball takes place in all the rooms of the Kulířov cultural centre. At the end of the year, a traditional nohejbal tournament for pairs is held; in March, the Josefský table tennis tournament takes place.
