The Hvězdárna Veselí organizes evening programs for the public, focusing primarily on observing the night sky. As a specialized cultural institution, it communicates and popularizes astronomy as well as related natural and technical sciences, and offers expert lectures and night-sky observations.

Nature

Dům přírody Bílých Karpat is a modern visitor center for the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area in Veselí nad Moravou. Nature excursions to the White Carpathians and the Pomoraví region are offered from there.

Wine

In the Zarazice district of Veselí nad Moravou, Zarazické vinařství organizes wine tastings in its wine cellar. At the same time, the winery continues a family tradition of viticulture and winemaking there in its fourth generation.

History

Park u zámku is a landscaped park and part of the château grounds in Veselí nad Moravou. The section of the park on the other side of the Morava River is accessible via a cast-iron pedestrian bridge from 1911; it was once part of a narrow-gauge railway. The park also includes a restored music pavilion from the second quarter of the 19th century, known as Orchestra.

Culture

The Church of the Guardian Angels and the Servite Monastery form an important Baroque architectural monument in Veselí nad Moravou. The church is open to visitors from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; guided tours are offered there from June to September.

The Městské muzeum Veselí nad Moravou presents archaeological, historical, and ethnographic collections from the surroundings of Veselí nad Moravou and from Horňácko. Panský dvůr also houses the Veselsko Tourist Information Center, the Baťův kanál Gallery, the City Gallery, an exhibition of historic bicycles, facilities for cycling tourism, and a Family Point.

The cycle path along the Baťův kanál runs mostly on paved roads. The ports along the Baťův kanál offer services for cyclists.
