Domanín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Domanín stands Domanínský dvůr, a Baroque building with three wings. Its documented architectural form dates from 1672 to 1678; following the Tatar invasion of Moravia, the estate was restored during these years. The historic operation included growing grain, legumes, hemp and grapevines, as well as keeping livestock.

Culture and History

The Church of Saint Wenceslas (Kostel sv. Václava) was built between 1786 and 1788 and consecrated on 16 November 1788. It contains five paintings by Ignác Raab, including four scenes from the life of Saint Bernard, as well as three bells; the oldest dates from 1794. The wooden mission cross at the church entrance was made in 1949.

By the church in Domanín stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, a stone work by an unknown artist dating from 1803. The iron cross in Domanín is considered the oldest of the Domanínské kříže and bears the year 1768.
