Únanov: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At Koupaliště Pohoda in Únanov, swimming and leisure facilities meet sports grounds: there is a swimming pool and a leisure pool, as well as a children’s pool, a slide, a water slide, a water cave and massage loungers. The complex also includes adjacent sports grounds and a children’s playground. The site also has two tennis courts with an artificial surface and a multi-purpose ball games court.

Nature

The PP Losolosy protected landscape area is located near Únanov and is one of three areas protected as natural monuments. PP Losolosy protects thermophilous plant communities and provides a habitat for protected plants and several bird species. The nearby EVL Kopečky u Únanova consists of two steppe hills northeast of Únanov.

The PP Kopečky u Únanova natural monument protects dry and thermophilous plant communities with numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species, especially the highly endangered great pasque flower (Pulsatilla grandis). PP Kaolinka is an area of scientific value featuring the Italian crested newt (Triturus carnifex) and other rare plant and animal species associated with wetland and disturbed-site habitats.

Culture and Local Life

The Church of Saint Procopius in Únanov preserves Gothic building fabric in the presbytery and the lower part of the tower. At the northwestern edge of Únanov stands the modern Chapel of the Virgin Mary and Saint John Paul II. At the exit from Únanov towards Plaveč is FitPark, an outdoor fitness facility for all generations.

The traditional Únanovské posvícení is a local festival featuring a weekend full of music, dancing and entertainment. On Saturday, 25 April 2026, the seventh edition of the intergenerational Pohoda Run Únanov running competition took place.

Transport Links and Location

IDS-JMK route 811 serves the Únanov, závod stop. The car camp is located on the edge of the village in the immediate vicinity of the Koupaliště Pohoda outdoor swimming pool and is separated from it by a fence.
