Culture
The Alinkov farmstead in Čermákovice forms a preserved, enclosed rectangular courtyard complex. Its complex includes an adjoining residential building with a mill. The farmstead building features sgraffito decorations on the façade; the farmstead was a historic settlement of the Anabaptists.
Next to the municipal office in Čermákovice stands the Chapel of Saint James the Greater. It dates from 1896.
Čermákovice is also home to a linden tree planted in 1937 in memory of the death of T. G. Masaryk.
History
The area around Čermákovice was already settled in the Neolithic period. The first written mention of Čermákovice dates from 1270. Throughout its history, Čermákovice was an exclusively agricultural municipality.
The former fortress of Čermákovice has almost completely disappeared without a trace. However, a depression and a change in elevation can still be seen in the gardens belonging to the residential buildings, recalling the medieval structure.
