Vracovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vracovice makes history visible in its townscape. Several adjoining gable-fronted farmsteads from the 19th century have been preserved in the town centre; house number 3 is decorated with an ornament dating from 1868.

Culture

One particularly significant structure is the bridge in Vracovice. It has been protected as a cultural monument since 3 May 1958 and is also a remnant of an originally Baroque bridge. Contemporary Rococo enclosure walls with two statues of saints have been preserved. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk originally formed part of the bridge's furnishings.

Among the notable religious structures are the Boží muka, a wayside shrine with a particularly distinctive architectural design dating from the 18th century, and the Chapel of St Michael. The architecturally striking late Baroque building dates from 1764; a sacristy was added in 1802. The Poklona is a small, rustic religious structure in a culturally shaped agricultural landscape.

The Sýpka-zámeček combines several historical uses: the Renaissance chateau was converted into a granary during the Baroque period.

Cycling

A section of the Mlynářská stezka in the Znojemsko region passes through Vracovice. This long-distance themed cycling route conveys the history and numerous features associated with milling. The Trasa ságy a mýty long-distance cycling route also passes through Vracovice.

Landscape

East of Vracovice lies Vracovický rybník on the Mramotický potok. The floodplain forests of Podyjí National Park extend southwest of Vracovice.
