Božice: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Obecní sklep in Božice is of great historical value. Its main section is a vaulted passage 45 metres long and 3 to 4 metres wide. The cellar was probably built in the mid-18th century; following its renovation, it is now considered a historically significant attraction worth visiting.

Culture and history

The parish Church of St Peter and Paul in České Křídlovice has a late Romanesque core dating from 1225 and a Gothic tower added later. The Bílý kříž in Božice also dates from 1767 and was restored by the Municipality of Božice in 2012.

There are two choirs in Božice. Their Christmas concerts take place in the local church and have become known beyond the region. Božice's sights also include the romantic Samota hunting lodge.

Nature

The Údolím lásky educational and recreational trail is approximately 5.4 kilometres long and runs through easily accessible terrain. It leads through the picturesque valley of the Příční potok, along the Horní Karlov, Prostřední Karlov and Božický rybník ponds, and around the Karlov nature reserve.

Niva pod Božicemi comprises two ecological wetlands used for walks and educational activities. A water and wetland biotope is located on the Božický potok.

Cycling

The Znojemská cyklostezka passes through Božice and connects 55 wine-growing municipalities in the Znojmo wine subregion.

Recreation

The sports and rehabilitation centre in Božice offers a saltwater pool, a whirlpool, a sauna and a solarium.
