Lesonice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lesonice lies in a mild valley bordered by fields and, predominantly to the east, by deciduous forest. Leskoun is a mountain in the vicinity of Lesonice; a fortified settlement was located on its summit near Lesonice. The hills Lesonický les [Miroslavské Knínice], Topánovský kopec [Rybníky na Moravě] and Perk [Rybníky na Moravě] are also located in the vicinity of Lesonice outlook p.

History and Culture

Archaeological finds and excavations indicate that the area of Lesonice was already settled in the Neolithic period. The Sokolovna, built by local residents in 1924, is now used for sporting and cultural purposes together with the sports ground.

The bell towers of Lesonice are listed as a cultural monument under registration number 19672/7-6517 and are located at Náves 1. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is listed as a cultural monument under registration number 15689/7-6516 and is located at Náves 2 in Lesonice. The Obilné jámy are grain storage pits near Lesonice dating from the period before the Thirty Years' War.

Things to Do

The signposted cycle route No. 5009 runs through Lesonice along the Břežany–Miroslav–Miroslavské Knínice–Lesonice–Moravský Krumlov–Rokytná route. In the Lesonice cadastral area, it follows lightly trafficked roads.

The Školní naučná stezka LESONICE offers a viewpoint overlooking Moravský Krumlov as well as three types of power plants: wind, nuclear and solar power plants. The Lesonická školní naučná stezka has six thematically focused stations with information boards. Lesonice has an outdoor swimming pool for recreation.
