Lančov: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The cadastral area of the municipality of Lančov lies on the right bank of the Vranov Reservoir. In Lančov stands the parish church of St Mary Magdalene, a late Romanesque building from the early 13th century.

Culture

The Luitgardin dvůr manorial farm estate, located near Lančov and Vranov nad Dyjí, was founded in 1841. It is a historically, urbanistically and architecturally valuable manorial farm estate, contributes to the character of the surrounding cultural landscape and serves as a landmark. There is also a long tradition in village life: the raising and felling of the maypole has been a tradition in Lančov for many years.

Nature

Spálená is a 3.0738-hectare natural monument, first designated on 15 January 2014. The natural monument protects xerothermic shrub communities with populations of cotoneaster species (Cotoneaster spp.) and is part of the Natura 2000 protected-area network.

Another natural area is Tisová stráň. It lies 2 km north of Lančov on steep slopes on the right bank of the Dyje valley. There, the forest stand exhibits a high degree of differentiation by species and age and is north-facing; at the same time, natural populations of European yew and perennial honesty occur in the herb layer. Tisová stráň is best reached directly from the Dyje River or via the riverside path.

Water and routes

The important nature recreation area of Lančovská zátoka lies in the southeastern part of the Lančov area. Road III/39813 leads from the centre of Lančov towards the holiday-home area at the Vranov Reservoir; from the turn-off to Lančovská zátoka, it continues as a local road.

Stříbrná zátoka is a bathing area in the Lančov area that invites visitors to enjoy peaceful swimming. The “Cyklistický okruh Vranovskem” cycle route also runs through the area, from Vysočany towards Vranov nad Dyjí.
