Bojanovice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Bojanovice is located in Jevišovka Nature Park. The village lies on the road between Hluboké Mašůvky and Jevišovice.

Nature and Protected Habitats

Jankovec is a Natura 2000 site of European importance that protects fire-bellied toads. In Jankovec, extensively managed ponds with natural banks and puddles on forest paths in a large forest complex with a high proportion of broadleaf trees serve as habitats for fire-bellied toads. U Huberta is a natural monument covering an area of 1.7676 hectares. It protects wetlands and temporarily waterlogged areas as habitats for crested newts and other rare plant and animal species.

The named landscape features are also situated in different spatial relationships to Bojanovice: Václavský Kopec, a mountain, is located in the immediate vicinity. Příčník, Stříbrná hora and Schwalbenfelsen are located in the surrounding area, each designated as a mountain.

Culture and History

The Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk stands in the centre of Bojanovice. No regular services are held in the chapel. The St. Hubertus site near Bojanovice was mentioned between the world wars as a possible excursion destination for the local population. Bojanovice is also mentioned in connection with the Horácko resistance group near Jevišovice.

In the wider regional surroundings of Bojanovice is Karlslust Castle, a castle. The ruins of Rabštejn, the Heimatkreuz wayside shrine and the ruins of Tempelštejn are also located in this wider regional area.
