Nature

The Dyje River flows through the municipality of Dyje. The Dyjské svahy natural monument is located in the municipality of Dyje and in the Dyje cadastral area. It lies on a rocky, west-facing slope above the Dyje River, south of the municipality of Dyje of the same name, in the direction of Tasovice. The natural monument protects drought- and heat-loving plant communities with numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species.

Culture

The Boží-muka wayside shrine near Dyje is an early Baroque pillar shrine dating from around the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. As a statue of a saint, or a Boží muka wayside shrine, it stands in the fields north of Dyje on a former road to Dobšice. It has a square foundation, a pillar with a cornice, a chapel decorated with shallow reliefs, and a concavely curved tent roof.

The late Baroque Church of St. John of Nepomuk is an important pilgrimage site. Dyje Baroque Chateau was built by the Premonstratensians from Louka between 1768 and 1775.

Trails

A cycling route leads through Dyje, crosses the Dyje River there, and continues along the opposite bank to the Dyjské svahy natural monument. At the natural monument, visitors can leave their bicycles at a shelter and walk a short distance towards the river.

The former Svatoklementská Trail ran between Hodonice and Znojmo through Tasovice, Dyje, and Dobšice and was suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. The Svatoklementská Trail is currently considered not to be maintained; many information boards no longer work or are completely missing.

Dyje railway stop is located on the Znojmo–Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou–Břeclav railway line.
