Havraníky: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Havranické heathland lies between the wine-growing villages of Havraníky and Popice. It is considered the largest and best-preserved site of its kind in the Podyjí region; parking for the area is available directly in Havraníky at Havranický pond.

Culture and History

The Church of St. Linhart is one of the most important monuments in Havraníky. In 1220, a parish and a chapel dedicated to St. Linhart were established in Havraníky. Next to the church stands the sculpture group “Christ’s Farewell to the Virgin Mary” from 1747. Havraníky is also home to the Baroque statue of St. John of Nepomuk, dating from 1765.

Wine

There are three vineyard sites in the cadastral area of Havraníky. “Staré vinice” and “Skalky” are cultivated, while “Dlouhé díly” is designated as a replacement site. At the Staré vinice vineyard near Havraníky, a seasonal stand operated by Znovín Znojmo offers tastings of local wines.

Nature

Skalky u Havraníků is a Natura 2000 site covering an area of 17.3284 hectares. It protects semi-natural dry grasslands, shrub formations on calcareous soils, and a population of the large-flowered pasque flower.

Surroundings

The Karlslust château is located in the surroundings of Havraníky. The Gollitsch, Příčník, Binderberg, and Schwalbenfelsen mountains are also located nearby.

The shrines Weißes Kreuz, Schönspiegelmarter, and Retzer Marter are located in the immediate vicinity of Havraníky.
