Újezd U Boskovic: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Újezd u Boskovic is located on the southwestern edge of the Drahanská vrchovina. Újezd u Boskovic lies on sloping terrain facing southwest at an elevation of approximately 510 metres. The high proportion of forest is particularly characteristic: the cadastral area includes 909 hectares of forest, accounting for 71 percent of the total area of Újezd u Boskovic. A cascade of small forest ponds has also been restored in the forest area.

Nature and trails

A marked green hiking route from Blansko via Petrovice, Kuničky, Boskovice, Suchý and Žďárná to Sloup runs through the cadastral area of Újezd u Boskovic, east of the municipality. The cycling network also passes through the municipality of Újezd u Boskovic: Cycle Route 5117 runs from Boskovice nádr. via Kamenný žleb, Žďár and Petrovice to Blansko. Between Divoký žleb and Kamenný žleb, Cycle Route 5229 connects Cycle Routes 5203 and 5117.

Leisure

During the summer months, the Koupaliště leisure centre operates with a swimming pool containing treated drinking water. The leisure centre has toilets and an open snack stand.

Culture and history

Northwest of Újezd u Boskovic there was once a hillfort site surrounded by a triple moat. The moats were two to three metres deep and five metres wide. Archaeological finds of stone weapons provide evidence of settlement in Újezd u Boskovic in prehistoric times.

The ruins of Doubravský hrad castle lie southwest of Újezd u Boskovic. The castle was built in the second half of the 13th century and fell into disrepair in the middle of the 15th century. A Masopustní průvod procession took place in Újezd u Boskovic on 7 February 2026.
