Skrchov is located in the valley of the Svitava River. Over the centuries, the river has created irregular meanders with rare biotopes here; the original settlement was situated at the foot of wooded slopes.

Culture and History

The company Teluria was founded in Skrchov in 1910 by the engineer Bohumír Jeřábek at the site of a former mill. The production of powder paints also began at Teluria in Skrchov.

The municipal coat of arms also reflects the connection to the Svitava: a blue wavy stripe in the coat of arms represents the river.
