Vavřinec: Holiday apartments and holiday homes
Vavřinec combines prominent viewpoints, paths through the municipality and cultural and historical sites with the landscape of the Moravian Karst. The Podvrší observation tower is particularly striking: it stands at the highest point of the municipality of Vavřinec, on the 590 m-high Podvrší hill. Its viewing platform is 32 m above the base of the tower and offers panoramic views of the nearby and more distant surroundings.
Landscape and trails
A blue hiking trail runs directly next to the Podvrší observation tower. Cycle route 5116 also runs immediately alongside the Podvrší observation tower.
A large part of the municipality of Vavřinec lies directly within the Moravian Karst Protected Landscape Area. The Kateřinská Cave is also located within the municipality, in the area of Suchý and Pustý žleb; it is most easily reached from Blansko.
Culture and history
In Veselice, the Museum of Beekeeping of the Moravian Karst presents the history of beekeeping in the Moravian Karst. The visitor attraction is operated by the municipality of Vavřinec.
The ruins of Blansko Castle are located within the municipality of Vavřinec. They can be accessed from Nové Dvory. The route from Nové Dvory to the ruins is lined with the Tereziánská lipová alej. Blansko Castle was probably founded in the mid-12th century.

The car park by the cultural centre in Veselice can serve as a starting point for exploring Vavřinec. Visitors can take a hike to get to know the municipality of Vavřinec better.
