History
The parish Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Petrovice has an Early Gothic core. South of the church, on the edge of Petrovice’s historic centre, are the remains of a medieval fortress with a partially preserved moat and rampart. The historic centre of Petrovice is an area where archaeological finds dating from the Middle Ages to the modern era have been documented or are reasonably suspected. The first written mention of Petrovice dates from 1374.

The Včelí naučná stezka bee educational trail in Petrovice is approximately 2.5 kilometres long and has ten information stations. It is an easy circular route that runs along paved and forest paths through the surroundings of Petrovice in the direction of Veselice. Along the bee educational trail, there are play elements, rest areas and a workout area. A historic windmill in Petrovice is associated with the Včelí naučná stezka bee educational trail and dates from 1848. From Petrovice, you can continue along the bee educational trail to Veselice, where you can visit the Beekeeping Museum of the Moravian Karst.
