The Blansko Region Museum is housed in a Renaissance château dating from the 16th century, with Baroque alterations from the 17th century. The new exhibitions cover historic interiors, ironworking, the early history of the Blansko region, and the exploration of the local caves.

Culture

The Church of St. Martin is a Baroque building constructed between 1672 and 1691. Its bell tower features a restored viewing platform, from which there are views across the whole of Blansko and the surrounding region. The Poledník bell probably dates from the early 13th century and is likely one of the oldest bells in Moravia.

The wooden church in Blansko is the oldest church of the Transylvanian–Marmaros, or Ruthenian Gothic, type in the Czech Republic. It is one of six wooden churches brought to the Czech Republic from Carpathian Ruthenia and originates from Nyzhni Selyschtsche.

Events

The Blansko City Gallery organizes guided tours with commentary as well as creative workshops for children and adults. In July and August, the château courtyard hosts the series of folk concerts Music for Caroline.
