Sebranice: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In the centre of Sebranice stands the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary on elevated ground. It was founded by Rajhrad Monastery before 1255 and built in the Gothic style. Four bells bear the names “Queen of Heaven”, “Bell of Praise”, “King of Glory” and “Bell of the Dead”.

Culture and History

One of the special features of Sebranice is a model of Karlštejn Castle. It was built from approximately 28,000 pebbles; Jaroslav Páral worked on it over a period of 14 years. The žudro in Sebranice is also considered part of the local folk architecture. House No. 36 in Sebranice is associated with the building traditions of the ethnographic region of Malá Haná.

The mountains of Skatulec, Kuliška, Jedla and Bučí are located in the surroundings of Sebranice.

Surroundings and Activities

Cycle Route No. 5144 passes through Sebranice; it is 29 km long. An invitation was also issued for Sebranice to take part in a traditional Masopust procession.

The monument “Monument to the Victims of the First and Second World Wars” is located in the wider regional surroundings of Sebranice. Veveří Castle, a castle complex, is also located there. Kuchlov is a ruin site in this wider regional area, and Brno Zoo is also located there.
