Malá Roudka: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Malá Roudka combines a distinctive village character with paths, forests and traces of culture in the surrounding area. The village was founded as a predominantly forestry-oriented linear settlement along a road; its character is largely defined by rural farmsteads with a single above-ground storey.

Village Character and Landscape

The area around Malá Roudka is suitable for hiking and cycling, and, when snow conditions are suitable, also for cross-country skiing. The forests around Malá Roudka offer opportunities for mushroom picking.

The surroundings of Malá Roudka include Husák Hill, Roh Hill, and the chapels Kaple Panny Marie, Kaple Božského srdce and Kaple Panny Marie Lurdské. Further afield in the region are Skalky Hill, the Pomník obětem 1. a 2. světové války memorial, and Skatulec Hill.

Paths and Cycling Tours

A local route follows the Jevíčka stream, also called Bitýška here, between the slopes of Kadlice and Bzovice, or Na Skalici, to Bezděčí. The route to Bzovice returns to Malá Roudka along the stream on the same path.

The “Okolo Malé Hané” cycling excursion is approximately 35 kilometres long and started and ended at the recreational area in Skočova Lhota. In addition, the marked cycling route 5146 from Letovice to Velké Opatovice runs along roads in Malá Roudka.

Kamenná svatba can be reached via the red hiking trail from Velká Roudka or via a path branching south from the road from Malá Roudka on the outskirts of Svárov.

Culture and History

Kadlice is associated with a regional mining and stonecutting tradition. The remains of several mining facilities are clearly visible at Kadlice beside the road from Malá Roudka to Svárov.

Beer festivals have been held annually in mid-July since 1991 in the cultural area of Skočova Lhota. A football pitch and a tennis court can be reserved at the Sportovně kulturní areál.
