Troubsko combines several historical layers: the present-day Troubsko Chateau was preceded by a Gothic fortress or fortified manor, which was already mentioned at the end of the 15th century. Construction of the chateau began in 1573 in the Renaissance style before it was transformed into a simple Baroque building in 1660. The chateau has a park with two chateau pavilions, which were built when the park was redesigned in the early 19th century.

Architecture and Tradition

Sacral architecture includes the Chapel of All Saints. Construction began in 1795, and it was solemnly consecrated on 29 September 1798. As a single-nave building with a polygonal apse and a four-sided tower, it stylistically represents the transition from the Baroque to Classicism. The Chapel of All Saints has been listed as an immovable cultural monument since 1958. The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Troubsko has also been listed as an immovable cultural monument since 1958.

Local tradition includes the Troubsko folk costume, which acquired “national” embroidery in red, blue and yellow following the movement surrounding the ethnographic exhibition in the 1890s. Podskalák regularly organizes the Svatodušní slavnosti festival, thereby contributing to the preservation of local traditions.

Landscape and Transport

Troubsko lies almost in the middle of the so-called “Troubsko-střelická kotlina” basin, forms a northeastern extension of the “Dyjsko-svratecký úval” depression, and is surrounded by the “Bobravská vrchovina” highlands; the landscape is gently rolling. The “Troubský potok” stream flows through Troubsko from northwest to southeast. It receives two small tributaries there and flows into the Bobrava from the left near Anenský mlýn.

Troubsko railway station is part of the IDS JMK integrated transport system and is located in fare zone 410.
