Ochoz: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Ochoz is a place where historic chapels, the Ochozská kyselka mineral spring in the Pilávka Valley, and local events come together to create a diverse character. Ochoz is first mentioned in historical records in 1351.
History and Chapels
The Chapel of Saint Wenceslas, dating from 1884, stands near the school in Ochoz. The Chapel of Saint Libor is located at a crossroads of the old trade route towards Kladky. The original Chapel of Saint Libor dates from 1669; it was rebuilt in 1910.
Valley and Spring
The Ochozská kyselka mineral spring lies in the valley of the Pilávka River, near the former Ochozský mlýn. At present, it is found only at one spring, which is in poor condition. The water of the Ochozská kyselka can currently be collected at a spring with a hand pump next to a wooden pavilion. The entire Pilávka Valley is ideal for walks; the Ochozská kyselka is also a popular excursion destination.
Local Life and Events
DEN U NÁS is a 24-hour gastronomic experience combining nature, traditions, crafts, art, and cuisine. Major events in Ochoz include the Svatováclavské vepřové hody.
