Rozstání can be discovered through prominent cultural monuments, historic technology and diverse landscape features. The combination of a church, windmill, marked trails and natural areas offers different perspectives on the locality, without any single theme determining the entire perception.
Culture and History
Rozstání is home to St. Michael’s Church, a registered immovable cultural monument with single-nave Neoclassical architecture dating from 1768 to 1779. It is a long-standing urban landmark and also an important orientation point. South of the church stands a statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1803.
Another historic feature is the Dutch-type windmill in Rozstání. Antonín Zukal built it in 1874; the mill ceased operation in 1922. It is considered a regionally unusual technical structure of folk provenance. The church and mill thus represent different cultural-historical themes, from sacred architecture to the history of technical construction.
A comparison of the two structures reveals different forms of built heritage. The church is defined by its sacred architecture, while the windmill makes technical history visible. This creates a cultural focus that is not limited to a single period or a single type of building.
Hiking and Cycling
A red-marked hiking trail runs through the Rozstání area. Marked cycling route 5118 also passes through the area. The two types of trails thus represent separate forms of travel within the planning area. Their different markings help keep the information clearly distinguishable.
Landscape and Nature
East of Rozstání lies Panský rybník, one of two bodies of water. It is designated as a significant urban landscape feature. The local LBC Baldovec biocentre lies east of the built-up area of the Baldovec district in the valley of the Bílá voda stream and includes forests, meadows, riparian vegetation and wetlands.
The body of water, valley area, forest, meadows, riparian vegetation and wetlands provide various thematic points of connection with the landscape. They can be considered separately from the cultural-historical sights when planning a trip.
Experiences in Baldovec
At the Baldovec leisure centre, the rope park has 12 rope bridges and obstacles at a height of 8 to 9 metres above the ground. After starting from a 16-metre-high climbing tower, the zip line in Baldovec covers a distance of 140 metres. The Baldovec leisure centre is located in the Bílá voda valley. For day planning, the rope park and zip line can be compared by height and route length.
The rope park differs from the zip line through its obstacles and the height of the facility, while the zip line is characterised by its starting point and the distance travelled.
When choosing a holiday apartment in Rozstání, travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions can answer different questions: they concern the period, the form of the offer and the conditions in the event of a change. This keeps the accommodation selection focused on the specific details of the respective offer.
