Milíčovice has an easy connection to regional cycling route 5007. The international long-distance cycling route EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail is accessible in the vicinity of Milíčovice. Along the old field paths in the cadastral territory of Milíčovice stand preserved small religious monuments, including wayside shrines.
Culture and History
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary (Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie) was built in 1760–1762 as a cemetery chapel and remodelled into its present form in 1860. It is a branch church of the Roman Catholic parish of Lukov u Znojma and has been protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic since 1958. The municipality of Milíčovice had the bell tower renovated.
The coat of arms of the Althann family can still be seen above the entrance to the Althanský hostinec. The Althanský hostinec served as a relay station for stagecoaches. It is a historic cultural monument built around 1750 at the instigation of Michal Antonín Althann.
Traditions
The traditional Posvícení in Milíčovice includes a procession through the village accompanied by the Sebranka band.
