History and Architectural Heritage

The Starý zámek in Jevišovice stands on a rock in a bend of the Jevišovka River. It was built in the first third of the 15th century by the Jevišovice branch of the Kunštát family and has a Gothic core with Renaissance and early Baroque alterations.

The Church of St Joseph in Jevišovice dates from 1830. The church contains an organ dating from 1748.

The Sýpka Jevišovice dates from around 1750 and is a protected monument. It has been converted into a cultural and sports centre.

Pustý hrad in Jevišovice was founded by the Lords of Kunštát at an unspecified time before 1289. A monument featuring the typical Hussite chalice symbol stands on Žalov Hill.

Water and Landscape

The Jevišovice Dam is a technical monument and was built between 1894 and 1897. It is currently used primarily for fishing.

The park at Nový zámek in Jevišovice comprises historic trees, clearings interspersed with meadows, and an extensive network of paths.

Cycling Route and Wine

The 53.3-kilometre “Krajem dvou řek” cycle route forms a loop that starts and ends in Jevišovice. It runs mostly through Jevišovka Nature Park.

The “Zámecká vinařská romance” is a recurring public wine tasting in Jevišovice.
