Kojátky: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Kojátky’s cultural heritage includes the statue of Saint John of Nepomuk, which is a registered cultural monument of Kojátky, and a Baroque stone sculpture of the same saint from the 18th century in the Kaštanov district.

Culture

Kojátky Castle was originally built as a 16th-century fortress and was converted in 1834 into a single-storey building with a chapel. At the cadastral boundary between Kojátky and Bohaté Málkovice stands the “Stoleťák” cross; in the past, citizens made pilgrimages to this cross in processions dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The cross at the Kojátky–Bučovice–Vyškov crossroads also has a historical connection: it bears witness to a tragic event on 23 June 1973.

Nature

The Site of Community Importance CZ0624062 – Černecký a Milonický hájek extends into the municipality of Kojátky in a narrow strip. This strip lies approximately 1 km from the existing built-up area. Černecký a Milonický hájek is a regionally significant, species-rich area with numerous specially protected species and Red List species. Its habitats include semi-natural dry grasslands and scrub facies on calcareous substrates.

Events

Most cultural events in Kojátky take place outdoors, particularly in the garden of the former brewery.
